Apartment Hunting Strategies

Thinking about moving out of your current apartment…in hopes of finding something less expensive or maybe moving to a newer, upscale apartment complex? Better find a good apartment locator to help and be prepared for the “hunt” of a lifetime. Available apartments in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area are hard to find and when you do find it – you better snag it! Immediately! Hunting for an apartment in Dallas, Plano, Richardson, McKinney, Allen, Frisco and even further over to the West of Dallas is hard. Prices are at an all-time high and as soon as the unit becomes available someone was right behind you leasing that very unit.

What do you do? How do you find that perfect new apartment to move to? For starters please read your existing lease document. If the property you leased at is using the Texas Association of Realtor’s Residential Lease document – please refer to Item 4-(a-b) to see how much notice you need to give your landlord. If your landlord was an apartment community and used the Texas Apartment Association Lease Contract – you need to refer to item #3. In this economy and current rental market it may be wise to allow your lease to go month to month to allow yourself to find suitable replacement housing. Contact me immediately to start the process BEFORE your lease expires. It will be a good idea to start looking at your options in order to determine if moving out is a good decision for you.

Ultimately it may not be a good time for you to move. At least you will know what your options and price choices will be should you decide to move forward. Visit my website and start the process: www.thepadhunter.com or give me a call at (972-369-3120). It won’t hurt to explore your options!
